Here is my last vision, my last hope from my veins
To walk upon a crowded street and hear no one call my name
In front of me, they’d grow anxious, behind me they would stare
If one should try to touch me, I would vanish in the air.

Here is my last calling, my concluding errand
To take a drive late one night and not be heard from again
My songs would become mantras, my fears would be fashion
And as they read the eulogy, my album hits #1.

Sittin’ shivah in a halfway house
Speaking in tongues that I don’t know
There is a girl, she moved in next door
She would be mine if I could just let her go.

(What if you could have your own death (without really dying???)??? If you could attend your own funeral and console those who were crying? You’d get laid every night! You’d never catch a disease! They’d make a tribute album for you, and you could keep all the proceeds.)
